Possible drought could improve spring fishing in the Yakima Basin

A drought in the Lower Yakima Basin may end up being good for anglers in the short term, but painful in fishing seasons to come. Good returns are expected on spring Chinook salmon this year and they may be easier to catch if a drought makes the Yakima River water remain low and clear.
